I like to doodle frogs sometimes and saw a photo of a little frog statue on pixabay and decided to doodle from that. Of course the end result kind of took on a life of its own, but it’s still kind of cute!
I used Lestraset and my grey C-3 Copic ciao markers on this, and of course my staedtler pigment liners for the outline.

I’d had the idea floating round in my mind for this design for some time, stuck in there with all those other ideas that are all fighting to become reality. I wanted something reasonably quick to complete after the eagle picture, so I decided to attempt to get this done. Drawing out the lettering and colouring them in really reminded me of my old graphics classes and how much I both loved and hated typography. This was drawn on my Daler Rowney A4 65lb Sketch paper, using Staedtler pigment liners.
Before I add the final touches to a dog portrait commission I’m working on. Here’s a picture of a happy Tortoise. I do like playing around with my Latraset Promarkers. Doing each bit of the shell and getting it to blend how I wanted was certainly fun and a bit challenging.
Also just a note, I created a Deviant art page, so I can now be found on that too. http://isabelproffitart.deviantart.com/ 🙂
I’ll also be uploading my scrawlr challenge and a post about it, once I’ve done it. The theme being abstract for this month doesn’t really play to my strengths, but we’ll see how it goes. Definitely loving the idea of getting extra supplies each month and a little something to do with them to start with. For those of you who don’t know what Scrawlr boxes are, I’ll also add a link to their website. I think it’s a pretty cool idea, especially as you can never have enough art stuff. ( I say this, but I’ll probably need an extra room soon, just for all the art stuff) 🙂 http://scrawlrbox.uk/
“Someday, we’ll run into each other again, I know it.
Maybe I’ll be older and smarter and just plain better. If that happens,
that’s when I’ll deserve you. But now, at this moment, you can’t hook
your boat to mine, because I’m liable to sink us both.”
― Gabrielle Zevin, Memoirs of a Teenage Amnesiac
I was doodling the other night and ended up creating these two characters. I used Sharpies to colour them in and I used my Staedtler pigment liners for the outline.
So I’ve been experimenting with a little bit of a different style compared to normal recently, as variety is always good.
Doodle art #1 – This was my first experimentation with this style, it’s amazing how fun just random doodles can be to create.
Doodle art #2 – I just finished this one today after having worked on it, on and off for about a week. It’s pretty random but the little doodle penguin has become my new favourite thing. Some of the expressions are a little strange but I’m still working out the best ones and trying out ones. There’s a picture of how it looked before the colour was added, because I like both equally I think. I used sharpies for the colouring in, not sure if I’m totally happy with them for large areas but for the small bits they were definitely good and the flames were created easier than I thought they might be.
